IJC Four Seasons Judo Invitational - Summer 2023

International Judo Center partnered with American Judo to provide the best tournament experience possible. IJC Four Seasons Shiais are the perfect place for any judoka looking to gain experience in a competitive yet friendly tournament atmosphere. This tournament series offers as many matches as possible, so you can get the most out of your experience. And your exhibition matches are always FREE - all you need is to find someone willing to play as exhibition match. We pride ourselves on the excellent experience athletes, coaches and parents get as they participate in our tournaments.

Format: Modified Double Elimination or Round Robin for 3 or less. All competitors are guaranteed two matches. If uncontested, we will refund your fee or record the first-place win for the division and present the Gold medal.

SCHEDULE

The schedule for this event will be posted within 2 - 3 days prior to the event. In order to comfortably accommodate everyone, we are kindly asking that you arrive only 30 minutes prior to your divisions scheduled start time. We will be going through the divisions chronologically based on age (kids first then adults)

Doors will open at 8:30 am on August 27th and the tournament will start promptly at 9:00am.

Please note there is NO WALK-UP REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT.

COACHING

Coaching is encouraged at all times during the matches. 

What does it mean to coach your athlete: 

  • All comments from the coach should be geared towards helping your athlete perform a judo technique.
  • As long as coaches are being a positive influence over the athlete they will be encouraged to continue coaching.

UNIFORMS

All competitors must wear a properly fitting gi.

Participants May Wear...

  • JUDO GI: White and Blue Judo Gis.
  • Any patches/embroidery can be worn as long as it does not hinder the opponent's ability to grab judo gi
