UPDATE APRIL 16TH

As the event approaches, we want to ensure that all participants are fully informed about the weigh-in procedures mandated by USA Judo.

As per USA Judo regulations, all athletes competing in pointed divisions are required to step on an official scale at the tournament venue. This mandatory weigh-in ensures fairness and adherence to the established competition standards.

For athletes participating in Novice/Non-Pointed divisions, we understand the convenience of remote weigh-ins. Therefore, these participants will have the option to submit their weight remotely, alleviating the need to physically attend the weigh-in at the venue. Please note that these rules are non-negotiable, and no exceptions can or will be made. It is imperative that every participant, regardless of division, complies with the specified weigh-in process to uphold the integrity of the competition.

To accommodate all participants, we will be offering additional weigh-in times on the day of the event. This flexibility aims to streamline the process and minimize any inconvenience for our valued athletes.

We will conduct weigh ins:

  • Friday, April 19th: 4:00 - 8:00pm at the tournament venue
  • Saturday, April 20th: 7:30am and throughout the day
  • Please note we kindly ask that you weigh in at least an hour before your divisions scheduled start.

We want to emphasize that these measures are in place to maintain our USA Judo Point Event status and ensure the highest standards of excellence in competition. By adhering to these regulations, we aim to provide all participants with the best possible tournament experience.

Pedro’s Judo Center and American Judo are committed to running a well-organized, safe, and fair event.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the weigh-in procedures or any other aspect of the tournament, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].

We look forward to welcoming you to the tournament and wish you the best of luck in your competition.
