2023 Future Stars 17 - A Successful Event for White and Yellow Belt Judoka

On February 5th, American Judo & Ippon Judo Dojo hosted the 2023 Future Stars 17 tournament. This event was geared towards white and yellow belt judoka and had over 100 competitors from all over Washington and the surrounding states! Tournament Director and National Judo Coach Jason Harai provided an incredible environment for these young judoka to have fun while challenging themselves. The American Judo team helped with registrations, bracketing, and technology setup - all of which combined to make this a successful event.

A Positive Environment for Young Athletes

The 2023 Future Stars event created an environment that was encouraging and positive, inspiring young judoka to continue their journey in the martial art. It also provided experienced referees with a platform to practice what they've learned so far while pushing themselves to do better. With National Judo Coach Jason Harai's guidance, these competitors were able to get feedback on their technique as well as experience competing against others in a safe environment. The tournament was both educational and entertaining for every competitor!

Technology Setup

In addition to registrations, bracketing, and other organizational duties, the American Judo team was also responsible for setting up various pieces of technology at the tournament. From streaming video equipment to scoreboards and display monitors, this technology allowed spectators to follow along with each match in real-time while providing an interactive viewing experience that allowed everyone involved to get more out of the event experience. This technology setup helped make this tournament one of the most engaging events of its kind!

Giving Back To The Community

The 2023 Future Stars 17 tournament exemplified Jason Harai's commitment to giving back to his local community. As a coach, he is passionate about helping young judoka develop their skills while providing them with practical experiences such as competitions like this one. His dedication extends beyond just teaching technique though; he also provides mentorship opportunities through seminars and workshops as well as helps facilitate camps where students can learn from instructors from all over the country.
