American Judo & IJC Martial Arts Host Successful Winter Open Tournament

The International Judo Club (IJC) Four Seasons Winter Open, hosted by American Judo and IJC Martial Arts, was a great success. Nearly 100 competitors from all over New York and surrounding states participated in the tournament. This event was made possible by the hard work of the Tournament Director and IJF A Level Referee Saro Balagezyan, as well as the help of American Judo with registrations, bracketing, and technology setup.

The International Judo Club (IJC) Four Seasons Winter Open, hosted by American Judo and IJC Martial Arts, was a great success. Nearly 100 competitors from all over New York and surrounding states participated in the tournament. The competition was held at the International Judo Center located in Brooklyn, NY. During the tournament, Saro Balagezyan said “We had a great turnout for this event! It’s been an amazing day filled with intense competition and lots of fun. As always our goal is to provide an opportunity for judoka to test their abilities in a challenging but safe environment.” Saro emphasized the level of professionalism in the service American Judo System provides and always keeping our athletes, coaches and parents in mind.

They have assisted numerous clubs throughout the years with registrations and technology setup for their events. Riley McIlwain, Events Coordinator at American Judo stated “It has been our pleasure to support this event for Saro and his dojo. We look forward to continuing our partnership with IJC Martial Arts on future events".

The IJC Four Seasons Winter Open was an incredible success thanks to everyone involved. From Saro Balagezyan’s leadership to American Judo’s support, this tournament has truly empowered judoka in the community to have fun while challenging themselves. We can only imagine what other amazing events are yet to come from these two organizations working together! We hope that this kind of collaboration continues into the future so that more people can experience the joys of martial arts competitions like this one!
